Yorkshire Ambulance Services

Yorkshire Ambulance Services has successfully completed the profile and auditing of all four of their education and training sites to meet the HEYH clinical skills quality assurance requirements.
YAS will be the first Ambulance Service in the country to accomplish such a process and their Clinical Skills Development Tutor Helen Holt and RCSA Jane Nicklin have worked hard over a period of time to reach their goal!
All of YAS’s training resources and equipment are standardised across sites. The level of organisation, delivery and evaluation in the training centres is high and sustained by a strong team from within the Organisational Effectiveness and Education Department. Their internal online learning centre YAS 247 is truly an outstanding teaching and training resource.
Burn Hall, Doncaster and Elm Bank are all established training sites but Yorkshire Ambulance Services recent acquisition, Manor Mill, not only has the region's first immersive training suite but also has constructed a replica back-of-an-ambulance on site.
Alasdair Strachan - Chair of the HEYH Clinical Skills Executive Committee presents one of the four certificates to Kirsty Lowery-Richardson - Education Commissioning and Assurance Manager for YAS.
